In many regions of the Global South, the cold chain does not fail because of rare emergencies. Power disruptions are a part of daily life.
Coolfinity refrigerators are engineered specifically for these conditions – using stored thermal energy rather than continuous electricity to protect vaccines and medicines.

WHY WE SPECIALIZE IN THE GLOBAL SOUTH?
Reliable Cooling Is Vital to the Continuity of Care, Especially When the Power Supply Cannot Be Trusted
- Spoilage of vaccines, medicines, and other biological materials is a constant risk.
- Rural and remote facilities cannot rely on efficient logistics to replace stock.
- Backup systems that rely on fuel introduce costs, supply risk, and human dependency.
We bring a new cooling method to guarantee reliability in regions where it has previously been impossible.

Constant Cooling For up to 53 Hours Without Power
Coolfinity WHO-PQS certified refrigerators maintain safe 2–8 °C storage through extended power loss by buffering energy through a liquid, not electricity.
This eliminates dependence on batteries, fuel, or operator intervention during outages.
*up to 25 hours at 43°C ambient temperature
Fewer wasted vaccines and medicines
Fewer stockouts and emergency resupply runs
Fewer preventable losses caused by power failure
How Does Our Cooling Technology Work?

Thermal Battery System
Ice-bank thermal battery stores cooling energy and automatically activates during outages – maintaining 2–8°C for 25-53 hours (depending on external temperature).

Active Air Circulation
Maintains even temperature distribution and humidity control to prevent condensation and spoilage.

Voltage Stabilizer & Surge Protection
Prevents damage to internal components during voltage spikes or power surges.

Vertical Glass Door Design
Direct stock visibility without opening the unit and losing temperature.

WHO Certified
Meets WHO PQS E003/122 certification for medical-grade refrigeration.

Battery-Powered Display Panel
Backup battery keeps the temperature display and control panel active during outages, automatically recharging when power returns.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Coolfinity protect vaccines and medicines during outages?
Coolfinity refrigerators use a patented ice-bank thermal battery. When the power supply fails, the ice bank melts to maintain the refrigerator’s internal temperature without requiring a backup power source.
What is the holdover time during a power failure?
Our cold chain refrigerators have a verified holdover time of 25 hours at 43°C and up to 53 hours at 20°C ambient temperature. Actual holdover varies with ambient temperature and door openings.
Is the refrigerator WHO-certified?
Coolfinity refrigerators are compliant with WHO PQS standards, supporting eligibility for donor funding and global procurement pathways.
Do features support areas with power instability?
Yes – our refrigerators have an inbuilt voltage stabiliser and surge protector. During consultation we’ll assess your power setting, including power reliability, voltage stability, ambient temperature, storage volume, and usage patterns to ensure your refrigerators deliver maximum holdover and efficiency.
What does delivery and installation look like in rural or remote areas?
We work with local logistics partners to ensure safe and efficient delivery in hard-to-reach locations. Lead times and delivery options depend on quantity and destination and we will discuss your options during the consultation process.
What installation requirements should we plan for?
Our technicians will install and commission your units. Units require a standard electrical connection and access to a standard water supply so that the ice bank can be filled by our installation partner on site.
Do units include warranty and servicing?
Every unit ships with a comprehensive warranty and access to our regional service network. Spare parts and support are available through approved local partners.
