Repeated attacks on energy infrastructure put Ukraine’s healthcare at risk. See how Coolfinity refrigerators are enabling healthcare facilities nationwide to maintain safe storage of essential vaccines and medicines.
In Partnership With

A Nationwide Cold-Chain Deployment
This multi-year program is delivering WHO-certified medical refrigeration to healthcare facilities across Ukraine.
Key Metrics:
- 600 WHO-PQS-certified medical refrigerators deployed
- Up to 53 hours of temperature protection without electricity
- 2025–2029 program timeframe with multi-year support
- 10+ years expected equipment lifespan
“Sustainability, Reliability, and Partnerships That Save Lives.”
Daily power outages of up to 18 hours mean standard refrigeration cannot be relied on to protect vaccines and essential medicines.
This leaves healthcare providers across the nation with severe operational challenges:
- Generators are fuel-dependent, costly to run, and not designed for sustained, repeated outages.
- Temperature-sensitive products like vaccines, insulin, antibiotics, and oxytocin face heightened spoilage risk.
- Pressure on frontline healthcare workers is exacerbated without reliable access to the life-saving products they need.
The result is a cold chain under constant strain – one that needs a fundamentally different approach to reliability.
What We Delivered
600 Coolfinity IceVolt 300P units with patented ice-bank thermal battery technology – designed to operate in regions with a volatile power supply. A Remote Temperature Monitoring Device (RTMD) in each refrigerator enables constant, remote monitoring of refrigerators in the field and the ability to act promptly in case of irregularities.
How We Delivered
- Detailed assessment to ensure our refrigeration solutions meet needs on the ground
- Phased nationwide delivery with trusted local delivery partners
- Local installation and ongoing maintenance support
With reliable cold storage, vaccines and essential medicines can now be protected consistently, even when power is regularly unavailable.
The impact is both immediate and structural.
- Extended temperature protection without electricity (up to 53 hours)
- Improved operational uptime despite continued energy pressures
- Long-term infrastructure improvement with equipment lifespan of 10+ years
- Lower operational costs now and in the future, with reduced reliance on diesel generators
- Data-driven monitoring for preventive maintenance and reduced downtime
